About

Cookeville Ghost Hunters was formed in Cookeville, Tennessee on April 26, 2021, with the goal of documenting genuine spiritual activity while building credibility as investigators, never resorting to faking evidence for attention. Brandon, the lead investigator, brings over four years of experience in the paranormal field and has been fascinated by the unexplained since childhood, a curiosity sparked in part by his family ties to Adams, Tennessee, where he grew up hearing stories of the Bell Witch. He is currently studying metaphysics and demonology under the presiding Bishop of the Holy Nicholean Catholic Church and has investigated numerous notable locations, including Waverly Hills Sanatorium, the Bell Witch Cave, and Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary. Through this work, the team has developed a strong community of fellow investigators and respected professionals to better assist clients in need.

April Norrod founded Curious Things Investigations during the pandemic of 2020. What started out as a hobby has since evolved and to date she and team have participated in over 100 investigations. She and her team have been to some of the more famous locations such as Waverly Hills Sanatorium, Brushy Mountain Penitentiary, Old South Pittsburgh Hospital, Old Historic Harriman Hospital, Scott Co. Jail, Octagon Hall, and Thomas House Bed and Breakfast. She uses a variety of equipment in her research and investigations and is knowledgeable about current investigative techniques. April has had a guest appearance on Britain's Pulse Talk Radio on the show The Paranormal World of Phillip Solomon. In addition, April and team host paranormal investigations at the historic Gaines House Civil War Field Hospital. The proceeds from which go into restoration of the historic building.  In the course of 5 years the team has evolved, members come and go, but the main purpose to help individuals struggling with paranormal afflictions has remained the same.

Together, Brandon and April bring a complementary blend of experience, training, and passion to the field, united by a shared commitment to integrity and service. Their combined backgrounds, spanning personal history, formal study, and extensive field investigation, create a well-rounded approach that balances technical skill with genuine compassion for those seeking help. By merging their knowledge, networks, and dedication to authentic research, they continue to build a community rooted in respect, curiosity, and a sincere desire to bring clarity to those facing unexplained activity.

What We Do

First and foremost, we are paranormal investigators. Our mission is to explore the unknown with integrity, documenting evidence of spirits and seeking signs of life beyond death. We approach every case with respect for our clients, their experiences, and the environments we investigate. Our goal is not only to collect evidence but also to bring understanding, reassurance, and clarity to those who may feel unsettled by unexplained events.

Our methods combine the practical and the profound. Using modern investigative tools alongside metaphysical and esoteric approaches, we strive to uncover the full spectrum of paranormal phenomena. From carefully ruling out natural causes to exploring spiritual impressions and archetypal patterns, we remain open to both the scientific and the unseen. Whether it’s an intelligent presence that interacts with the living or a residual imprint of history replaying itself, we seek to discern truth with honesty, compassion, and balance.

At the heart of our work is a dedication to uncovering answers to one of humanity’s oldest questions: does something remain after death?”
